Age 8-13

This is perfect for this age group, as they tend to want to show off their skills! Organize plenty of games and have lots of prizes so everyone can take home something. Please be sure to have an alternative plan in case of inclement weather.

Decorations: Just tie some balloons to a tree, park bench, or lawn chairs. Let Mother Nature do the rest! Be sure to take plenty of juice or punch as your guests will probably be very thirsty. Bring along some sandwiches, chips, fruit, and the birthday cake, as well as serving dishes.

Games: This type of party lends itself well to almost any outdoor activity. Sack races, scavenger hunts, egg toss, egg and spoon races (this is where an egg is placed on a spoon and you must get across the finish line first, without breaking your egg), balloon pop (tie a balloon on everyone's leg and the last one with an unpopped balloon, wins!). We don't recommend "Hide and Seek" as it may be hard to keep track of where each child is hiding.
