Breakfast Party With everyone working so hard these days and days filled with all sorts of commitments, perhaps a morning party would work best for you. You could serve a light breakfast or go all out with a elegant brunch. Decorations: If you are going for a relaxed atmosphere, keep the decorations simple. Purchase large white coffee mugs and write each guests name on one. These can be used as placeholders or set up on a buffet table. Use large paper napkins in solid colors and white dishes. Instead of a birthday cake, place candles in a coffee cake. Fresh flowers as a centerpiece is a sure winner! If you choose to go fancy, set up a buffet table with a linen tablecloth, silverware wrapped in cloth napkins, champagne glasses (for mimosa's), and a fresh flower centerpiece. Large, silver, warming dishes should be used to present the food. Set your dining table with another linen tablecloth and elegant coffee cups. Your centerpiece could be a bowl of fresh fruit or a basket of strawberries, with fresh flowers tucked around the fruit.
